Jessica Blackler Meets CEO of L’Oréal Jean-Paul Agon
On Friday 18th of January, Jecca Makeup’s founder Jessica Blackler was visiting L’Oréal’s offices in Paris, when she had the honour of meeting the CEO of the world’s largest cosmetic company.
Jean-Paul Agon joined L’Oréal in 1978 after graduating from HEC international business school. His history within the company sees him battling difficulties, turning tough situations and opening L’Oréal to international waters. Mr Agon finally became CEO of the company in 2011 and Friday he visited the offices to understand the new innovations happening in L’Oréal.
Jessica was introduced to Jean-Paul Agon for the first time in the famous Station F, startup campus in the outskirts of the French capital, home to Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon (and of course, L’Oréal), amongst many others.
Jecca Makeup has been part of L’Oréal Open Innovation Program since 2018, receiving invaluable insight into the world of beauty. Jessica is often travelling back and forth between London and Paris to attend meetings with L’Oréal’s experts and work on future projects.
Jessica describes the meeting with Jean-Paul as inspiring and an absolute pleasure. They discussed Jecca Makeup and its future, the new products coming out this year and our goals. Mr Agon was very impressed with our journey so far and was ready to give us positive feedback for what’s ahead. We can’t wait to amaze him even more!
Christian Mulliez was also present to the meeting. He joined L’Oréal back in 2002 and worked his way up, reaching the title of Executive Vice-President Chief Financial Officer only one year later. His journey within the company is just as inspirational as Agon’s.
